From Traditions Spring Tomorrows
For generations, Indigenous women, girls, and gender-diverse people have led with strength, resilience, and wisdom. At the BC Native Women’s Association (BCNWA), we honour that legacy by creating spaces for healing, advocacy, and opportunity.

Creating Paths to a Stronger Future
The BCNWA was created to uplift and advocate for Indigenous women, girls, and gender-diverse people across British Columbia. Through our programs, resources, and community connections, we support Indigenous women in building a future where they can thrive – stronger, safer, and more empowered than ever.
Led by an all-Indigenous women Board of Directors, we foster inclusion, wellness, and leadership through culturally grounded programs and services. We have made great strides, from reincorporating in 2011 to taking leadership of the Indigenous Skills and Employment Training (ISET) program and signing a historic Accord with the federal government in 2019. These milestones strengthen our ability to advocate, connect, and create opportunities for Indigenous women to succeed.

Realizing Potential
Building Pathways to Success
We believe that when Indigenous women and gender-diverse people are given the tools to succeed, entire communities benefit. Our programs provide training, education, and healing spaces to help Indigenous individuals reach their full potential.
Indigenous Skills and Employment Training (ISET)
Through the Indigenous Skills and Employment Training (ISET) program, we provide financial and career support, including living allowances, job start assistance, and post-secondary funding, to help individuals gain the skills they need to achieve their career and educational goals.
Family Violence Prevention Programming (FVPP) – Coming in 2025
Through our Family Violence Prevention Programming (FVPP), we are building safe, supportive spaces where Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals can access resources, develop life skills, and heal through culturally centered programs.
